It is useful as a retarder solvent to improve flow and minimize humidity blushing. This is one of many Eastman solvents that can be used to replace the ExxonMobil’s discontinued Exxate solvents. It is used in Coatings - OEM and special purpose,roll-coating inks ,coalescing aid for nitrocellulose (NC) lacquer emulsions,EXXATE 600 replacement blends ,viscosity modifier in poly-vinyl chloride (PVC) organosols. It shows good solvent activity ,low density ,low water solubility ,slow evaporation rate ,high blush resistance ,low surface tension,Non-HAP. Diisobutyl Ketone. Used in OEM coatings and roll-coating inks. Offers good solvent activity. Provides high blush resistance. Exhibits low density and low surface tension. Possesses low water solubility and slow evaporation rate.
