EASTMAN EEP Solvent (Ethyl 3-Ethoxypropionate) 3-ethoxypropanoic acid, ethyl ester 763-69-9 Eastman Chemical Company Solvent >> Esters Coatings Automotive OEM Coil Coating Eastman EEP Solvent (Ethyl 3-Ethoxypropionate) is a slow evaporating ether-ester with excellent solvency for a wide range of coating polymers. The ether-ester groups, the linear structure, and the propionyl group in the center of the molecule give this material a combination of desirable properties not found in other solvents. These include a slow evaporation rate, good resistance to solvent popping in baking applications, high solvency for a wide range of polymers, low solution viscosity for its evaporation rate, excellent solvent release from coating films, and excellent flow and leveling with a wide range of coatings. Eastman EEP Solvent has a moderate odor, low surface tension, and high electrical resistance. It is used in cleaners,EXXATE 600 replacement blends, letdown solvent for high-solid resins, process solvent for high-solids acrylic resins, coatings - OEM and Special Purpose, industrial cleaners, paint removers. It shows excellent solvent activity, high blush resistance, high electrical resistance, low surface tension,Non-HAP,urethane grade: Suitable for use with moisture-sensitive polymers, high auto ignition temperature: Satisfactory for coil coatings, high boiling point Linear structure: Faster solvent release, low water solubility, slow evaporation rate. Ethyl 3-Ethoxypropionate. Used in OEM coatings and coil coatings. Offers very good solvent activity. Provides high auto ignition temperature. Possesses high blush resistance. Imparts high boiling point and high electrical resistance.
