Its major uses are in thermoplastic acrylic coatings as a reflow solvent and in foundry core-binding applications. This is one of many Eastman solvents that can be used to replace the ExxonMobil’s discontinued Exxate solvents. It has high blush resistance, low MIR value, Non-HAP, slow evaporation rate. It is used in coatings - OEM and Special Purpose, core-binding resins, EXXATE 900 replacement, screen inks for cellulose acetate butyrate and nitrocellulose. Ethylene Glycol Diacetate (EGDA). Used in coatings - OEM and special purpose and screen inks. Offers high blush resistance. Possesses low MIR value, non-HAP and slow evaporation rate.
