EFKA-1500 shows good pigment wetting and stabilising performance and has excellent compatibility with resins commonly used in water-based and solvent-based coatings. Due to its primary hydroxyl groups, EFKA-1500 is able to crosslink with amino resins. Complete water-solubility will be obtained by addition of 7.5% of AMP 90. EFKA-1500 has been especially developed as a grinding vehicle for use in both water-based and solvent-based resin minimal pigment concentrates. It is normally used in combination with EFKA polymeric dispersants Fatty acid modified polymer in methoxypropanol. Used as a dispersing resin to provide resin minimal pigment concentrates for water-based and solvent-based coatings. Offers good pigment wetting and stabilising performance and very good compatibility with resins commonly used in water-based and solvent-based coatings. Can be crosslinked with amino resins. Can be used in combination with polymeric dispersants.
