EFKA 4046 Modified polyurethane Efka Additives Dispersing agents >> Polymerics Coatings >> Solventborne Coatings >> Solvent-Free/ High-Solids Coatings >> UV / Radiation Curing Butylacetate, Methoxypropylacetate, Sec.butanol EFKA-4046 is a polymeric dispersant for stabilizing inorganic and organic pigments. This results in: improved gloss reduced flooding problems higher colour strength lower viscosity Application: EFKA-4046 is used for all kinds of solvent-based coatings as well as pigment concentrates. (see our concept for resin minimal pigment concentrates based on EFKA polymeric dispersants) Addition: Calculation method for the required amount of active ingredient on pigment: Inorganic pigments : 10% of oil absorption value Organic pigments : 25 - 50% of BET- value Carbon blacks : 20% of DBP absorption value Incorporation: EFKA-4046 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments. High molecular weight polymeric dispersant for deflocculation of pigments. Can be used for stabilizing inorganic and organic pigments. Improves gloss. Reduces flooding problems. Provides high colour strength and low viscosity. Suitable for all kinds of solvent-based coatings as well as pigment concentrates. (Suitable for resin minimal pigment concentrates) Should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments.
