This is because EFKA-4500 is itself not water soluble. Primary hydroxyl groups enable EFKA-4500 to crosslink with amino resins under stoving conditions, thus losing all hydrophilic character. EFKA-4500 is recommended for use in all kinds of high quality water-based industrial coatings. High molecular weight modified polyacrylate in sec. butanol.
