Benaqua 1000 Derivative of natural polysaccharide Elementis Rheology Modifier/ Thickener >> Polysaccharide derivatives Coatings >> Waterborne Inks >> Water-based INKS Architectural / Decorative Other industry >> Paper coatings BENAQUA 1000 rheological additive is a newly developed water-soluble polymer, derived from a natural polysaccharide. It is highly efficient and is a cost effective alternative to high viscosity grade hydroxy ethyl cellulose. Applications Emulsion paints Waterborne adhesives and sealants Household cleaners and polishes Crop protection agents Paper coatings Construction products Waterborne inks Pigment suspensions Key properties 1.cost-effective thickening agent for aqueous systems 2.provides stable shear-thinning viscosity over a broad temperature range 3.improves sag and slump resistance 4.has good water retention properties 5.provides good flow and levelling 6.does not interfere with colour development 7.excellent suspension properties Derivative of natural polysaccharide The typical level of addition depends on the desired consistency of the system. Typically from 0.1% to 3.0% by weight on the total formulation is required. Derivative of natural polysaccharide. Used as a thickening agent for waterborne systems. Offers high efficiency. Provides stable shear-thinning viscosity over a broad temperature range and good flow and levelling. Improves sag and slump resistance. Gives good water retention properties and very good suspension properties. Does not interfere with colour development.
Applications: emulsion paints, paper coatings, construction products, waterborne inks and pigment suspensions.
Use level: 0.1-3.0% by weight on the total formulation.
