DAPRO DF 1181 Foam Suppressor can be used in waterborne systems to prevent foam formation caused by milling, mixing or agitation during both manufacture and application. DAPRO DF1181 Foam Suppressor is highly resistant to emulsification and remains effective even after extended storage of the system in which it is used. Optimum results are often achieved by using DAPRO DF 1181 Foam Suppressor in the mill base and a DAPRO Silicone Free Foam Suppressor in the let down. Applications DAPRO DF 1181 Foam Suppressor is specially recommended for use in auto refinishing top coats, coatings for plastic,industrial and maintenance coatings, coil coatings, traffic paint, wood finishes and container coatings for non food contact applications. It can also be used in waterborne architectural coatings to prevent foaming caused by continuous agitation. Highly resistant to emulsification, and remains effective after extended storage of the systems in which it is used. Provides poor bubble resistance on roll-out. Provides good ease of incorporation, good resistance to crawling and fish eyes. Provides excellent bubble resistance when mixing, excellent effective over wide pH range, excellent long-term stability. Recommended usage level: 0.05-2.0% by weight based on total formula. For maximum efficiency, should be added as early in the manufacturing process as practical. Greatest overall effectiveness in preventing foam during manufacture and application is often achieved by using 0.05-0.2% of it in the mill base and 0.2-0.3% of one of the Dapro silicone-free foam suppressor in the let down. Can be used in Waterborne OEM finishes architectural & maintenance finishes to control foam during manufacturing. No FDA-cleared.
