GP- 507 Carbinol functional silicone polymer Genesee Polymers Silicone CARBINOL FUNCTIONAL SILICONE FLUID The presence of alcohol groups in GP-507 allows reaction with isocyanates, carboxylic acids, dicarboxylic acids, carboxylic acid anhydrides, acid chlorides, ethylene oxide and propylene oxide to yield a wide range of silicone organic copolymers. Unlike silanol functional fluids, GP-507 is stable to hydrolysis. Also, the carbinol functionality of GP-507 provides a versatile reaction site for the synthesis of a variety of silicone - organic copolymers which may be suited for use in coatings, release agents, wetting agents and many other applications.
