The particle size and refractive index of ZB-112R results in the product having very little pigmenting power (tinting strength), minimizing pigment loadings and in translucent formulations. ZB-112R also finds applications as an afterglow suppressant and anti-arcing agent. The product is recommended for elastomers and rubbers, where the high zinc content provides improved flame retardancy and smoke suppression. It is also recommended for polyurethanes thermoset resins, plastisols, adhesives and cellulosics and textiles coating applications. Zinc borate. Used as a flame retardant/smoke suppressant in cellulosics and textiles coating applications. Possesses compatibility with elastomers, rubber and polyurethane, and very little pigmenting power.
