The particle size and refractive index of ZB-237 results in the product having very little pigmenting power (tinting strength), minimizing pigment loadings and in translucent formulations. ZB-237 also finds applications as an afterglow suppressant and anti-arcing agent. The product is recommended for applications involving low temperature processing. ZB-237 provides enhanced and rapid flame retardancy due to it’s low temperature of activation. Zinc borate. Used as a flame retardant/smoke suppressant in coatings.
