ICM 1191 Silicone Emulsion ICM Flow / Levelling agent >> Silicone Slip control >> Silicone Surface conditioner, miscellaneous >> Gloss control Wetting agent/ Wet edge enhancer >> Silicone Coatings >> Waterborne Type...............................Silicone Emulsion Physical form................Milky white liquid Special Properties.........Small particle size increases stability and reduces surface defects. Primary use...................Increases Gloss, Slip, and Wetting of water-based Inks and Coatings. ICM 1191 Additive is a higher molecular-weight silicone emulsion that is easily diluted in water. Its small particle size allows for excellent dilution stability and causes minimal foam. It can be used in almost all water-based paint, ink, and coating applications where increased gloss, slip, or flow-out is needed. ICM 1191 also aids in overall mar and abrasion resistance. TYPICAL PROPERTIES: Appearance(@25°C)......White Creamy Liquid % Silicone Fluid.........................................40 pH (as is @25°C)..........................................7.7 Specific Gravity.......................................0.98 APPLICATIONS: Water-Borne Gloss Slip Wetting/Leveling Secondary Benefits Mar, Rub, and Abrasion Resistance HOW TO USE: Typical concentrations of 0.005-0.1% by weight, based upon total solids. Check recoatability of system and avoid or minimize contamination of processing equipment. ICM 1191 should be added at the final thinning or color-matching step. High molecular-weight, small particle size, increases stability and reduces surface defects as foam. Increases gloss, slip, wetting, levelling and flow-out. Also provides mar and abrasion resistance. Recommended usage level: 0.005-0.1% by weight, based upon total solids. Check recoatability of system and avoid or minimize contamination of processing equipment. Should be added in the final thinning and color-matching step.
