Megatran 248 Acrylate Copolymer Interpolymer Acrylic Resins Architectural / Decorative >> Flooring Megatran 248 is an acrylate copolymer. Performance Benefits Excellent leveling and flow Superior repairability Superior UHS durability Reduced labor cost Features Low viscosity Recommended for UHS applications High solids formulations Low foam technology The Megatran line of patented specialty polymers for floor polish applications has been a resounding commercial success for Interpolymer since their introduction in the year 2001. The basis of the Megatran polymers successful use in a wide variety of end use floor finish applications, from dry-brite to burnishable formulations, has improved flexibility of use on a variety of substrates in a broad range of end use conditions. The patented stabilization technology (US patent 6,020,413) offers significant advantages over conventional polymers when formulated properly. Interpolymer’s line of Megatran Polymers for “High Solids” applications allow the formulator to produce finishes at 30 – 35% solids. The high solids content requires fewer coats than conventional products, significantly reducing labor costs. High solids formulations based on the Megatran technology have extremely low viscosities, which have excellent flow and leveling characteristics. Megatran 248 has been designed to allow the formulator the ability to formulate Ultra High-Speed Maintenance systems well above traditional solids levels. Formulations based on Megatran 248 can be formulated up to 35% solids and provide an excellent base for an UHS burnishing program. High solids formulations based on Megatran 248 have an extremely low viscosity for easy applications, excellent flow and leveling. Acrylate copolymer. Shows excellent leveling and flow, superior repairability, superior UHS durability and low viscosity. Used for floor polish applications.
