K-Flex 171-90 Chain extended polyester polyol King Industries Polyurethane (PU) - Polyols >> Polyester Plastic coating n-Butyl acetate/xylene 1:1 K-Flex polyester polyols (Table 1) are used primarily as modifiers for acrylic, alkyd, epoxy and polyester formulations. They have unique structures with a narrow molecular weight distribution designed for high reactivity and fast cure with melamine and isocyanate crosslinkers. Containing primary hydroxyl groups, K-Flex polyester polyols are typically used at 5-15% modification levels on standard resins to: Increase film flexibility Improve resistance properties Reduce VOC's, increase solids Achieve higher crosslink density, improve cure response A K-Flex/Melamine ratio of 60/40 is recommended for modifying typical resin systems. K-Flex 171-90 88% Active Chain extended version of 188. Volatile (1:1) n-Butyl Acetate/Xylene Offers better pot life with isocyanate and amino crosslinkers. Good flow and leveling. Lower isocyanate demand. Excellent for 2K urethane applications. Good adhesion particularly to plastic substrates. Chain extended polyester polyol containing primary hydroxyl groups. Used as a modifier for acrylic, alkyd, epoxy and polyester formulations. Offers narrow molecular weight distribution, high reactivity and fast cure with melamine and isocyanate crosslinkers. Gives very good pot life with isocyanate and amino crosslinkers, good flow and leveling, low isocyanate demand, very good compatibility with 2K urethane applications, and good adhesion particularly to plastic substrates. <br> Use level: 5-15% on standard resin.
