K-Flex UD-320 Urethane diol King Industries Polyurethane (PU) - Polyols Coatings >> Solvent-Free/ High-Solids Coatings >> Waterborne Propylene glycol and mono-methylether acetate K-Flex urethane diols are recommended modifiers for hydroxy or carboxy functional resins in combination with amino crosslinkers or isocyanate resins for high solids and waterborne systems. They are low molecular weight aliphatic diols which allow the incorporation of urethane functionality through hydroxyl end groups. The use of K-Flex urethane diols at modification levels of 2-10% can: Increase solids, reduce VOC's Increase film hardness Improve resistance properties In waterborne systems, K-Flex UD-320W/350W can be used to replace co-solvents and primary resins, resulting in lower costs and lower VOC's. They also make possible the incorporation of aliphatic urethane functionality, with all the properties associated with aliphatic urethanes, without the use of isocyanates. Additional benefits found in the modification of waterborne systems include: Improved abrasion, chemical, stain and QUV resistance Improved flow and leveling Improved gloss K-Flex UD-320 82% Active Urethane Diol in Propylene Glycol and Mono-Methylether Acetate Increases application solids and hardness. Improves chemical resistance, exterior durability and hydrolytic stability. Urethane diol.
