PMDA Ultrafine 1,2,4,5-Benzenetetracarboxylic dianhydride 89-32-7 Lonza Crosslinking / Coupling / Curing Agents >> Anhydride Epoxy Resins Coatings >> Powder Coatings PMDA Pyromellitic Dianhydride PMDA is employed as a curing agent for epoxy agent resins used for casting, laminating, the manufacture of moulding powders, adhesives and coatings. One important advantage when PMDA is used as the curing agent for powder coatings is the fact that less curing agent is required, and that curing takes place without accelerators within about 15-20 min at approximately 200°C. PMDA reacts with diamines to form polymides. Such polymers have a greater than average heat resistance and excellent electrical properties; they are used to produce castings, films and coatings. PMDA can be employed for the production of esters.C6-C14 alcohols, whose esters have extremely low volatility, high heat stability, low tendency to migrate and excellent low temperature plasticizing properties, are suitable for the production of special PVC plasticizers. Pyromellitic dianhydride. Used as a curing agent for epoxy resins used for the manufacture of coatings. Offers great heat resistance, very good electrical properties, very low volatility, high heat stability, low tendency to migrate and very good low temperature plasticizing properties. Reacts with diamines to form polymides. Can be used as a curing agent for powder coatings to allow low curing agent level and no need for accelerators.
