Alcogum AN-10 Sodium polyacrylate 61788-39-4 National Starch and Chemical-Alco Chemical Rheology Modifier/ Thickener >> Associative >> Hydrophobically modified alkali-soluble emulsions (HASE) Acrylic/Acrylate Resins Vinyl Coatings ALCOGUM AN-10 is an amber, viscous liquid, sodium polyacrylate thickener which finds extensive use in the thickening of natural and synthetic latexes for a wide variety of applications. ALCOGUM AN-10 may be used to thicken styrene-butadiene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, neoprene, acrylic, vinyl acetate and ethylene-vinyl acetate latex compounds. In general, it is the most satisfactory thickener for latexes which have an alkaline reaction, although some success has been achieved in neutral or slightly acid systems. ALCOGUM AN-10 is not available in bulk due to its high viscosity. It is used in carpet backing, latex foam, adhesives, emulsions, textile coatings, nonwovens, dispersions. Sodium polyacrylate thickener. Used in carpet backing, latex foam, emulsions, textile coatings, nonwovens, dispersions. Possesses high viscosity.
