Raymond Drufke
|
 |
|
Raymond Drufke obtained a Bachelor of
Science degree in Business Management from Elmhurst College. He continued his
graduate studies at the University of Chicago, concentrating on Finance and
Marketing.
His first exposure to coil coating began at
Material Science Corporation (then PreFinish Metals). As Plant Manager, he
developed the manufacturing systems necessary to produce metal laminates,
exterior automotive trim and high gloss appliance applications. As director of
Process Development, he managed the design, construction and operation of a
pilot line. This line became the vehicle for a number of innovative coating
applications including powder, extrusion and multilayer coatings.
The second half of his career more fully utilized
his business and marketing background. He successfully oversaw the
transformation of marginal facilities into financially sound operations at
Precoat Metals Chicago, Portage, Indiana and Edcoat New Carlisle, Indiana.
During this time, the plants that were under his responsibility became market
leaders in B-staged adhesives for automotive applications, high temperature
coatings for the bakeware markets and polyester coatings for the aluminum
exterior trim market.
He is currently a full partner at New Amsterdam
Corporation. NAC offers its clients in the coatings industries, value added
services in training, productivity enhancements and equipment design
