- May 23, 2012
Attendees of CHINACOAT 2012 Chengdu Conference, scheduled June 7 to 8, can learn about Dow Corning's effective silicone-based solutions for waterborne and solvent-based paints, inks and coatings.
During the conference, Robin Shen, Dow Corning China Coatings Technical Specialist will introduce Dow Corning® family of slip and leveling additives, which is specifically designed for solventborne and radiation-cured paints, inks and coatings includes several products that enable the design of tailored flow and leveling solutions for use on wood, furniture and plastic substrates without worrying about foam stabilization or recoatability.
Dow Corning® 205SL Additive, Dow Corning® 204SL Additive and Dow Corning® 401LS Additive are multipurpose additives that provide a range of solubilities and other characteristics at low addition levels and enable formulators to develop tailored solutions for optimized performance in multiple resin systems and applications.
Dow Corning 205SL Additive gives excellent hand feel and also functions as an antifoam, while Dow Corning 204SL Additive provides the product family's best-in-class slip performance in radiation curable coatings and allows for low VOC levels and formulation flexibility. Dow Corning 401LS Additive offers improved slip performance and good wetting and leveling properties without affecting coating clarity in solventborne formulations.
