With a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for decorative, industrial, marine and automotive coating formulators, Evonik - one of the world leaders in specialty chemicals - has once again been acknowledged by the manufacturers in the segment.
The company was one of the winners in the 16th edition of the Paint & Pintura Award, ranking first in two categories surveyed: Silica and tintometric systems - colorants. The trophies were given out to the winners on May 04, at Espaço Vila dos Ipês, in São Paulo, in a ceremony that gathered over 900 people.
"We repeated the good performance we put in last year and feel honored to be among the best suppliers in the paint industry," says Camila Percerini, Inorganic Materials Product Manager.
Being recognized in these two categories has now become tradition. Evonik has achieved the first place in the category Tintometric Systems - Colorants in all editions of the Paint & Pintura Award.
In Silica, it also repeated the positive performance of the previous editions and secured 35% of the votes. In both segments, Evonik offers a line of innovative raw materials especially developed to provide the best results in the modern formulation of a number of paints. The on-going investments in the research of new materials aligned with the market trends and the service provided to the customers in the segment reinforce the company's commitment with the paint sector.
"The awards received result from investments, tradition and quality in services and products", says Alex Fabretti, Business Manager for South & Central America.
Sponsored by Agnelo Editora, the Paint & Pintura Award 2012 elected the best in the sector in 50 categories, out of which 38 were suppliers. The survey involved 119 respondents from the paint industry and was audited by Premium Auditores Independentes, a firm in charge of the entire process of data collection, analysis and disclosure.
