This year's Posidonia exhibition was the largest ever,
and one in which International Paint was proud to
participate.
The biennial gathering, held 4-8th June in Athens,
attracted almost 19,000 visitors and 1,870 exhibitors
from 92 countries, making it an ideal platform to
showcase its innovative coatings, including the
renowned Intersmooth®SPC, Interswift® and
Interspeed® brands, offering customers a complete
choice of antifouling technology and performance.
The event was also an opportunity to highlight
Intershield®300, the anticorrosive universal primer
which has amassed a 12,000 vessel track record
and is the only product with 15 years proven in
service performance on cargo oil tanks and seawater
ballast tanks. International Paint also presented its industry leading
cargo hold range, featuring Intershield®803Plus,
designed to withstand the impacts of modern high
speed belt conveyors, frequently used to load bulk
carriers. Its stand was staffed by representatives
from Greece, Korea, China, Romania, Cyprus,
Turkey and the UK, who welcomed over 600 visitors.
In addition to the business opportunities provided by
the event, International also enjoyed the networking and
recreational aspects, achieving second place in the
five-a-side Shipsoccer tournament, organised by
Posidonia Exhibitions S.A and Naftiliaki Filathliki
Enosis. The tournament, which attracted over 300
spectators, was won by Diamantis Pateras Maritime.
International Paint is grateful for visitors' interest in its products and looks forward to Posidonia 2014.
