Aremco Offers High Temperature Coating Corr-Paint™ CP3015-AL for Corrosion Protection
- Aug 3, 2012
Corr-Paint™ CP3015-AL, a new high temperature, aluminum and ceramic filled, corrosion protective coating developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to protect rotary furnaces used in cement production as well as automotive and industrial exhaust systems for applications to 1300 °F.
Aremco's Corr-Paint™ CP3015-AL is a new high temperature coating system used to provide corrosion protection of carbon steel structures found in refractory lined rotary furnaces and automotive and industrial exhaust systems to 1300 °F.
Corr-Paint™ CP3015-AL is formulated using an advanced, waterborne, proprietary silicate binder system filled with a blend of aluminum and ceramic corrosion inhibiting pigments. This new formulation provides exceptional high temperature corrosion resistance on cst iron and carbon steel.
Corr-Paint™ CP3015-AL is a single part coating system that is supplied in a ready to use viscosity of 250-900 cP with a solids content of 36.8% by weight and 19.1% by volume. It is applied easily using conventional spray equipment and cures in 2 hours at 200 °F plus 1 hour at 500 °F. The coverage rate is 309 ft2/gal at a dry film thickness of 0.001" (1 mil). Cleanup of uncured coating is accomplished easily using warm water.
Corr-Paint™CP3015-AL is available from stock in pint, quart, gallon and 5-gallon pails.
Formed in 1965, Aremco's advanced materials division has been a leader in the development and production of technical ceramics, adhesives, coatings, sealants and potting compounds for applications to 3200°F. These materials are used throughout industry in the design of sensors, electrical components and analytical instruments, as well as the maintenance and repair of high temperature process equipment.
