ACE Launches Clark+Kensington Line of Low VOC Acrylic Paint & Primer in UAE

SpecialChem - Sep 7, 2012

Ace Hardware of Rupert and Burley has announced that it will carry Ace Hardware's new paint line, Clark+Kensington. The brand features a new paint and primer in one that is 100 percent acrylic, low-VOC.

"The introduction of a line that eliminates the need to prime surfaces and paint separately reinforces our commitment to provide the most helpful experience for customers by delivering top-notch service and products," said Quinn Montague, Manager, Rupert Ace.

In a nod to the company's strong heritage, the Clark+Kensington name commemorates Ace's first retail location on Chicago's Clark Street and the current address of its worldwide headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill., a symbol of all Ace retailers past and present.

"Our independent Ace stores and their helpful associates are integral in building the Clark+Kensington brand," said John Surane, Senior Vice President of Consumer Marketing, Merchandising and Paint for Ace Hardware Corporation. "The paint and primer in one stands for quality and durability, characteristics often attributed to locally owned and operated Ace stores in communities across the country."

The complete line of Clark+Kensington paint and primer in one will be available in matte flat, flat, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss and high-gloss enamel finishes. In-store, Clark+Kensington will be displayed alongside other Ace Paint brands. Ace manufactures Clark+Kensington paint and primer in its two manufacturing facilities in the south Chicago suburbs of Matteson and Chicago Heights.

"The Clark+Kensington paint and primer in one truly reinforces our core brand message of helping people maintain their homes while saving them time," said Mary Rice, president/general manager of the paint division for Ace. "The new Clark+Kensington brand will deliver everything consumers want from their paint: fashion, style, inspiration and sophisticated colors that create inviting spaces."

For more than 25 years, Ace Paint has been synonymous with innovation. In 2007 the company introduced the Cabinet, Door and Trim enamel featuring Alkatex®, which is a hybrid technology that combines the durable finish of an alkyd with the easy soap and water clean-up of latex. Similarly, in 2002, Ace Paint introduced the revolutionary Simply Magic® ceiling paint that uses a special additive to brush on blue and dry into a pure white matte finish - taking the guesswork out of one of the most challenging home improvement tasks.
