Münster/Lipetsk -- VITA, a Pevicoat Service Center in Russia, and BASF Coatings are celebrating five years of a successful partnership. In honor of the anniversary, 11 VITA employees visited the Münster site, where they learned about BASF Coatings' paint production and development.

Five years of a successful partnership: In honor of the anniversary, 11 VITA employees visited the Münster site, where they learned about BASF Coatings' paint production and development.

"The partnership between VITA and BASF Coatings has been a success from the very beginning," says Uwe Pelchen, head of Sales – Coil Coatings Europe I, stressing the very good business relationship between the two companies. He adds, "Hosting our partner, VITA, has been a great opportunity to present our customer the complex processes of the paint production and development directly on site."

VITA is located in Lipetsk, 600 kilometers south of Moscow in the Black Earth region of Russia. At the plant, coil-coating topcoats are mixed and are then applied to the steel coils at the NLMK steel plant, BASF Coatings' largest coil coatings customer. The steel coils are used in the construction industry, for household appliances, or in the transportation sector. The Pevicoat system, BASF Coatings' service concept for the coil coating sector, is used to manufacture the paint and apply it to the coils. Pelchen stresses, "The major advantages are flexibility and speed. The way I see it, there is no better instrument that can serve to increase our customers' flexibility and at the same time, reduce the complexity of the process for them. This gives VITA a competitive edge that has contributed to its success."

After some sightseeing in Münster the guests from VITA received a warm welcome from Mayor Günter Schulze-Blasum at the "Friedenssaal" of the Münster city hall.

In addition to participating in business-related discussions, the guests from VITA had time to do some sightseeing in Münster. After a tour of the cathedral, they received a warm welcome from Mayor Günter Schulze-Blasum at the "Friedenssaal" of the Münster city hall.
