    Deepak Gogna
          Deepak Gogna has worked in the paint industry for over 30 years, spanning a range of technical functions including Research, New Product Development, Technical Service and Production. He graduated from Brunel University (Applied Chemistry) and is a Chartered Chemist and Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and on the Register of the Science Council as an active Chartered Scientist.

    During this period his career developed with two major players in the Coatings and affiliated sectors (ICI Paints and Silberline) in Applied Research and Technology team management and Coatings Consultancy. His specialisation developed in the field of Waterborne paints for the Automotive industry during the intense activity in the 80’s with the move over to low solvent-emission systems following raised awareness and pressure from Environmental bodies, lobbies and subsequent Legislation. Deepak was closely involved in the development of second generation waterborne basecoat systems which enhanced the key properties of the pioneering technology initially developed and commercialised by ICI.

    Currently, Deepak Gogna is practising as an Independent Coatings and Chemical Consultant and is an Expert with SpecialChem for Paints and Coatings.
