Improve Block Resistance
Blocking is a common defect in formulating a low-VOC coating, especially
with semi-gloss and high-gloss paints. This is a particular concern in architectural
applications.
Capstone® fluorosurfactants can cost-effectively
improve block resistance with no negative impact on the other properties of
the coating. They work very well with different sheen levels of latex paints,
even with deep-based paints.
In the picture above, in both cases, multiple additives were replaced
with one Capstone® FS-61 multifunctional fluorosurfactant
to achieve block resistance.
