Formulation and Cost Efficiency
By incorporating Capstone® FS-61 multifunctional fluorosurfactant
in the beginning stage of formulations, formulators can reduce the amount and number
of other additives, and create higher performing paints. Potential additives
to reduce or eliminate can include pigment wetting agents, defoamers, oil stain
removal additives, leveling aids, open time extenders, color acceptance additives,
and anti-blocking or anti-cratering additives.
By reducing or eliminating other additives in your formulation, you can achieve:
- Raw material cost savings
- Increased performance of your coatings
- Improved consistency
- Efficiency in operations/manufacturing
Using Capstone® fluorosurfactants at a very small amount
will allow you to
formulate defect-free coatings, while still achieving good wetting
and leveling with reduced foam.
Moreover, with
better dirt pick-up resistance, the durability of your paint will improve,
leading to less repainting needs (less cost and hassle).
