Color
These pigments are capable of bright colors, from orange to a brilliant scarlet.
Molybdate red pigments are often combined with organic pigments in order to extend
their color range, while retaining good opacity.
Dispersility
Lead molybdate pigments have a very good dispersibility. Though, attention must
be taken not to over-disperse as it leads to a weakening of their resistance properties
and damages their surface treatment.
Toxicology
Red molybdate pigments are toxic. Paints made from these pigments have strict labelling
regulations.
Uses
They are used in industrial finishes.
Price
These pigments are relatively cheap.
