Structure
The base molecule can be simple Beta-naphthol azo molecules or Beta-naphthol azo
molecules with a carboxylic acid on the naphthol (Beta Oxy Naphthoic Acid (BONA)
toners).

Properties
These pigments are insoluble because they contain a metal into their molecule. The
metal has a significant effect on the shade of the pigment and on its fastness properties.
