Structure
These yellow pigments are mainly monoazo in structure. They possess a benzimidazolone
group on the molecule, which is in effect a cyclical carbonamide group.

Color
These pigments range in shade from a green shade yellow through to orange.
Particle size
Benzimidazolone exists in several grades with different particle size. The higher
the particle size, the better the light fastness.
Uses
Benzimidazolone pigments are used in demanding applications such as automotive finishes
and powder coatings.
Price
Benzimidazolone pigments are typically more economic than other high-quality pigments
in this section of the spectrum, although they are more expensive than other monoazo
pigments.
