Offset Inks
As discussed in the problem solver section, polymeric dispersants are designed to
give strong adsorption to particular pigments and to have high affinity with
solvents in a specific polarity range.
In the area of offset inks, polymeric hyperdispersants offer benefits such as improving:
- dispersion viscosity
- flow of the final ink
- colour strength
- gloss
It is hence essential to use a suitable polymeric hyperdispersant in many offset
inks applications in order to obtain the optimum dispersion conditions.
