Formulators grinding pigments, using liquid or solid pigment preparations or even producing liquid pigment preparations have always issues with pigment settlement, dispersion or color stability depending on the physical form of pigments. INXEL™ pigment preparations significantly facilitate the incorporation of pigments into paints and coatings. They can be used in a wide range of applications, including: industrial coatings, powder coatings, UV curing systems and printing inks.
INXEL™ pigment preparations, in a solid granule shape, are easy to disperse, generate no dust and do not contain VOC. The worldwide availability of INXEL™ pigment preparations and the high quality standards help the customer to offer uniform high performance coating solutions on a global scale.
The INXEL™ technology is cost-competitive to conventional production of paints based on milling of powder pigments because, typically, no additional additives are needed and grinding can be avoided, leading to reduced cleaning effort. This leads to significant reduction of production time and higher flexibility of the production process.
Today, the INXEL™ A series is ready to use for solventborne industrial coating systems. At the EUROPEAN COATINGS SHOW first grades of the INXEL™ B series for waterborne industrial coatings will be introduced to the market. Until end of 2009 Evonik Industries will introduce the INXEL™ C series for waterborne car refinishing.
