Exterior flat
In addition to normal criteria, selection of proper pigment for flat exterior architectural coatings is mostly based under durability, tint retention, hiding performances and self cleaning ability.
These coatings are formulated at relatively high levels of extenders and TiO2 pigments and represent a unique surface treatment to maximize air void hiding in Critical Pigment Volume Concentration (CPVC) systems, coupled with durability providing superior hiding performances in flat exterior architectural coatings.

Ti Pure® R-902+ has been specially designed to combine end-use performance properties such as good hiding power, durability, ease of dispersion and exterior durability. It also satisfies tint retention and high chalk resistance over a wide range of solvent-based and aqueous systems. Both available in slurry and dry forms, this pigment is also used in both alkyd and emulsion paint.
Ti Pure® R-902+ is highly recommended for satin and flat aspects for exterior architectural paints.
- Ti Pure® R-931 performs well in selected exterior white latex paints, following reformulation to accomodate the higher surface area of the pigment, and to maintain film integrity.
Ti Pure® R-931 is designed for CPVC formulas. It has been proven in lab studies and in commercial use to deliver the highest coverage tint strength in those paints containing high extender loadings and TiO2 levels.
Available both in dry and slurry form, this pigment offers effective hiding and cost efficiency for high quality flat paints above CPVC if the customer is willing to stock multiple TiO2.
